Evan Martin, a bartender from Seattle asked me yesterday via Facebook:
Hey Mike! How's it goin?
I was wondering if you could tell me a bit about waldmeister syrup.
I recently discovered it at a German deli in Seattle.
An employee at the store said it is common to mix with cognac in a punch or even in beer. I looked it up online and found that the herb can be harmful in large doses
and is no longer used in the commercially produced syrups.
So I'm most curious as to what you think of the stuff,
if you use it and is it common in German bars?
We were messing around with the stuff at the bar
thinking it was best suited for citrusy gin cocktails.
Doch was sollte ich ihm sagen, das Waldmeister-Sirup in Berlins Szenegetränk:
Berliner Weiße Grün genutzt wird.
Benutzt einer von euch Waldmeistersirup in Cocktails?
Jungs ich brauch eure Hilfe!!!
